On September 14, customers at the Huanle Aijia Supermarket in Zhumadian, Henan, protested over restrictions on the use of stored-value cards. Chairman Wang Haizhou appeared on-site, promising that the company's assets were sufficient to cover its debts and pledging to announce a solution by November 6.
