Over 100 employees and investors surround chairman at Henan Zhumadian's Aijia Supermarket demanding return of funds

On September 14, more than 100 employees and fund contributors at Aijia Supermarket in Zhumadian, Henan, surrounded chairman Wang Haizhou to demand the return of their money, and clashed with police at the scene. The company had long encouraged employees to deposit their wages and savings into the so-called Tianzhong card; an economic crisis broke out in August, several supermarkets closed and cash withdrawals were suspended.
