SASAC Requires Central Enterprises to Take the Lead in Timely Payment of Accounts to SMEs

On September 14, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of the State Council stated at a policy briefing held by the State Council Information Office that central enterprises will take the lead in raising funds and ensuring timely payments. It requires large enterprises to compress the maximum payment period for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to within 60 days, strictly prohibits the issuance of new bills with a term of more than 6 months, and will conduct joint interviews and rectification for large enterprises that deliberately extend payment terms.
