どのような政治家が必要なのか？——社会ダーウィニズムと汎道徳主義の狭間を進む

私たちはどのような政治家を必要としているのか？もし民主化・反共産党運動に成熟かつ強固な陣営とエコシステムが存在するならば、中国共産党に取って代わる日はすぐそこにあるはずだ。しかし残念ながら、現在はそのような状況にない。様々な声がソーシャルメディア上に分散しており、多くの人々はトラフィックを稼ぐことを主眼とし、他人の不幸の血をすすりながらの狂騒に酔いしれているだけで、自らは系統的な行動を進めようとせず、相互間の専門的な協力すら語るに足らず、ただの小グループや小さな徒党にすぎない。嫉妬、誹謗中傷、内輪もめ……これらが常態化している。そしてピンクニュースや五毛だけでなく、反共産党のネットユーザーであっても、各種の政局予測の噂話やデマ、陰謀論に夢中になる者が相当数おり、さらには偽物の「陳佩斯」や「孫海英」などにまんまと騙されている。常識さえあれば判断できる多くの問題において、いかに多くの人々が混乱し、目を覚ますことを頑なに拒んでいるかがわかるだろう！

このような状況下では、たとえ優秀で正直な知識人の一団が立ち上がったとしても、泥沼を清掃することは極めて困難であり、それどころか、下心を持った小人たちに扇動された愚民たちによって、心身ともに疲れ果て、ついには意気消沈させられてしまう可能性すらある。

これは避けられないことだ。政治に関わるということは、大半の場合、小人たちとしのぎを削ることであり、しかも立場を異にする君子から攻撃を受ける時は、小人よりも激しいことさえある。なぜなら、小人は自分の命を惜しむが、君子は一つの道を信じ込むと、死を恐れずにとことん突っ走ることができるからだ。

これほど複雑な環境において、柔軟な臨機応変さは現代の政治家にとっての基本資質であり、小人や君子と付き合うにあたって、狼狽して進退きわまってはならない。

しかし、偉大な政治家には、必ず自身の核心的な理想と理念、そして自身のこだわりと原則がなければならない。最も俗な言葉で言えば、それは「鋼鉄のような意志」を持つことである。

特にジャングルのような社会進化論が蔓延する華人の政治環境においては、信仰の裏付けがない意志では貫き通すことが難しく、急速に堕落し凡俗化してしまうおそれがある。

揺るぎない意志に加え、成熟した政治家が持つもう一つの大きな特徴は組織能力である。これは、いわゆるネットのインフルエンサーのフォロワー獲得能力のようなものではない。インフルエンサーとファンの関係は、同じ森に住む鳥の夫婦よりももろいため、こうしたインフルエンサーたちは多くの場合、個人的利益の追求だけで満足し、そこで止まってしまう。一方、政治家の組織能力というものは、志を同じくする者たちを組織し団結させ、計画的、段階的、かつ忍耐強く同じ目標やビジョンに向かって前進できるか、そしてそのために必要な犠牲を忍ぶことができるかどうかにかかっている。

期待されることに、一部の志ある人々は、現実の政治が真に必要とする方向へ物事を進めようとしている。

私は、こうした同志たちに対して、しばしば見落とされがちな二つの小さな提案を心から送りたい：

一、系統的な軍事闘争を必ずや高度に重視し、軍事闘争能力を構築するプロセスにおいて、物理的な政治力を確実につかみ取ること。華人の政治環境は、口先だけで行動しない君子に対して多くの寛容や温情を残してはくれず、「書生が反乱を起こしても10年は成し遂げられない」と嘲笑するだけである。中国共産党だけでなく、大小様々な隠れた影があなたに致命的な一撃を与えようと機会を窺っている。小人は徳を畏れず威を畏れるが、その小人はなんと多いことか。物理的な処置や抑止力がなければ、無力感が影のように付きまとい、いかなる高尚な理念や計画も実現することは困難である。

二、政治の実践にあたって、汎道徳主義の罠に迷い込んではならない。道徳はもちろん政治の核心的要素の一つであり、政治家は自らの理想を堕落させ凡俗化させてはならない。高尚な追求を堅持し、可能な限り手続き的正義を追求することは、称賛に値する原則である。しかし、道徳的優越感の下でしばしば現れる問題、すなわち自発的あるいは受動的に汎道徳主義のジレンマに陥ることに厳に警戒しなければならない。我々は中国共産党と平和的かつ友好的に政治交渉を行っているのではなく、集団対抗型の政治闘争を行っているのだ。政治闘争をどのように見なすにせよ評価するにせよ、実際の運用においては、それ独自の情け容赦ないゲームのルールと客観的法則が存在し、まさに「順する者は栄え、逆らう者は亡びる」のである。ここには、直面せざるを得ない大量のグレーゾーンやブラックゾーンが存在し、当事者が決断せざるを得ない残酷な選択も数多く存在する。もし汎道徳主義の罠に陥れば、歴史上の多くの人々や政治集団と同様に、痛恨の極みでありながら避けられない滅亡をもって幕を引くことになるだろう。

優れた政治家は常に自身の評判や立場を大切にするものだが、偉大な政治家だけが、泥水が降りかかる場所であれ、個人の名誉を犠牲にして、他者のために道を切り拓く勇気を持つのである。

What Kind of Politician Do We Need? — Navigating Between Social Darwinism and Moral Purism

If the pro-democracy and anti-CCP movement had a mature and stable ecosystem and camp, the replacement of the Chinese Communist Party would be within reach. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Various voices are scattered across social media, with many people focused on chasing views, indulging in the frenzy of exploiting tragic events for attention, yet unwilling to advance any systemic action. There is little professional collaboration among them, only cliques and factions. Jealousy, defamation, and infighting have become the norm.

Even beyond the CCP’s internet trolls, many anti-CCP users on the internet are obsessed with gossip, rumors, and conspiracy theories, falling for fake personas like "Chen Peisi" or "Sun Haiying" with embarrassing gullibility. We can clearly see that even on issues that common sense can easily judge, there are many who remain confused and stubbornly refuse to wake up.

In such circumstances, even if a group of outstanding and upright intellectuals stands up, it’s incredibly hard to clean the murky waters. On the contrary, they may find themselves worn out or even disheartened by mobs manipulated by malicious actors.

This is to be expected. In politics, one often battles with scoundrels. And gentlemen who differ in stance can sometimes attack more viciously than scoundrels—scoundrels value their lives, but gentlemen, once convinced of a cause, may go to the bitter end fearlessly.

In this complex environment, adaptability is a basic quality of any modern politician. When dealing with both scoundrels and gentlemen, one must not become flust

ered or lose direction.

But a great politician must also possess a core set of ideals and principles—an unyielding will of steel.

Especially within the Chinese political landscape, rife with jungle-style Social Darwinism, it’s nearly impossible to persevere or avoid degeneration and vulgarity without the support of strong belief and inner conviction.

Beyond unwavering willpower, a seasoned politician must also possess organizational ability. This is not the same as influencer-style fan-gathering. The bond between influencers and followers is even more fragile than a fleeting marriage. These influencers often only pursue personal gain and stop there. But a politician's organizational strength lies in their ability to unite like-minded individuals, and to lead them—patiently and strategically—toward a common goal, even at the cost of sacrifice.

Encouragingly, some aspiring individuals are genuinely moving toward what real-world politics demands.

To those comrades, I sincerely offer two often-overlooked suggestions:

First, place high importance on developing a systematic capacity for military struggle, and in the process of building it, gain tangible, physical political power. In the Chinese political environment, there is little tolerance or sympathy for the eloquent but powerless gentleman. People laugh at the scholar’s failed rebellion. Beyond the CCP, many lurking shadows wait for the chance to strike you down. The wicked fear power, not virtue—and they are everywhere. Without a capacity for physical confrontation and deterrence, weakness will haunt you like a shadow. Lofty ideals and plans will be difficult to realize.

Second, do not lose yourself in the trap of moral purism during political practice. Morality is, of course, a core element of politics, and politicians should not allow their ideals to degenerate into vulgar self-interest. Upholding high aspirations and procedural justice is admirable. But beware of the danger beneath moral superiority—that is, the trap of moral absolutism. We are not negotiating peacefully with the CCP; we are engaged in a political struggle between hostile groups. Regardless of one’s views, this struggle follows its own ruthless rules and objective logic—survival for the obedient, destruction for the defiant. Many gray and dark areas must be confronted. Many harsh decisions must be made. Those who fall into moral absolutism often end up as historical tragedies—pitiful, but predictable.

A good politician cherishes their reputation.But only a great politician dares to wade into the filth, to sacrifice their own name and honor, and carve out a path for others to follow.
