Netizens discover that only mainland China uses the victim's name transliteration as the title for the movie "So Won"
On September 28, netizens discovered that the South Korean film "So Won" has a title in Korean (소원) that functions as a pun, meaning both the victim's name and "wish." While the Taiwan translation is "Hope: Rebirth for Love" and the US translation is "Hope," only mainland China uses the transliteration "Su Yuan," losing the pun's meaning. The film was released in 2013 and has a Douban rating of 9.3.
