On October 12, the Hubei Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security publicly named and shamed: the Xiangyang Gengdu Town project, general-contracted by CSCEC Seventh Bureau, owes 118 migrant workers a total of 3.2015 million yuan in labor remuneration. After being ordered by the Xiangyang Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau on May 13 to rectify within a time limit, the overdue corrections were not made, and on August 6 the human resources and social security authorities issued another administrative penalty decision.
On June 19, 2025, the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Hubei Province launched the "Sheyin Loan" service, claiming that through "precise drip irrigation" it will ease the public's shortage of funds for contributions and prevent interruptions in social insurance payments.
