Depositors of Henan Village and Town Banks Write to New Provincial Party Secretary, Governor and 15 Central Leaders, Complaining That Their Deposits Have Been Frozen for Five Years

On October 8, as the Henan Provincial Party Secretary and governor were replaced at the same time, depositors of village and town banks across the country wrote letters to the new Provincial Party Secretary Zhou Zuyi, governor Wang Lujin, and 15 leaders of central ministries and commissions, accusing the former provincial Party committee and government of feigning compliance while defying orders and refusing to settle old accounts. Tens of thousands of depositors and their relatives have been unable to withdraw a single cent from their bank card deposits for five years, and have been driven to extremes.
