Currently, volunteers have initiated a tally and are fundraising to buy folding beds, which has triggered public doubts about disaster relief material distribution and government support capabilities.
On August 12, volunteers released footage of the post-disaster scene in Zhenlong Township, Hengzhou, Guangxi, showing that nearly a month after the flood, many villagers' homes deep in the mountains were still piled with heavy mud and stones, leaving elderly disaster victims to clear the debris themselves with shovels.
