The prime ministers of Russia and North Korea attended the opening ceremony of the Tumannaya River cross-border highway bridge via video link. The bridge, five kilometres long, is a cross-border infrastructure project of the two countries. The Chinese side was not invited to the ceremony, and the bridge's physical height and design have sparked external discussion about its potential to restrict China's Tumon River sea-access channel and its military potential.
