A 30-year-old Chinese male student studying in Korea is suspected of using AI since last November to synthesize the faces of seven victims, including his lab colleagues, into explicit videos, creating 1141 pieces of obscene and pornographic content. The student was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison in the first trial on September 10 for allegedly violating South Korea's 'Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes'.
