On September 14, a safety officer at the kindergarten's canteen exposed severe hygiene issues, such as washing shoes in vegetable washing pools and scrubbing woks with mops. The kindergarten had long ignored rectifications, and regulatory authorities failed to inspect the kitchen surveillance footage.
