On September 16, the Huanneng Bajiao Power Plant in Yantai, Shandong Province started construction of the "RuiTanhao" project, with Phase I planned to build a 50 MW generator unit and a 100 MW/400 MWh molten salt energy storage system, expected to be put into operation in 2027.
