Leva: China can only get better if Xi Jinping becomes a real emperor

"Party-state" is the worst kind of imperial system; China needs to restore a true imperial system, that is, a "family-state" like the Kim Jong-un family.

Under the Party-state, it is unknown whose world it is, because the Party is composed of bureaucrats large and small, just like public ownership; whose property is it? There is no owner.

Property without an owner is taken by whoever grabs it, which carries risks. If the emperor's position is also obtained by grabbing and competitive appointment, then it is unstable. It is more stable to rely on the hereditary family-state.

The biggest trouble with the Party-state is that the problem of the source of power can never be solved.

In ancient times, when the emperor made a mistake, it was easy to correct; he would issue a decree of self-reproach, and the matter would pass. But in the Party-state, the source of the supreme leader's power is superficially from the people, but in reality, it is not. Therefore, it is impossible to admit mistakes. Stalin and Mao Zedong never admitted mistakes; admitting mistakes might lead to a loss of authority, and thus a loss of power. After Stalin and Mao Zedong made mistakes, they not only refused to admit them but also shifted responsibility and carried out political purges. In contrast, ancient emperors were the Sons of Heaven, and the source of their power was unquestionable, governing the world on behalf of Heaven. Admitting mistakes was fine. In terms of error-correction mechanisms, the family-state is easier to correct errors than the Party-state.

I disagree with Ren Zhiqiang's article, in which he criticized President Xi for wanting to be an emperor... My view is exactly the opposite: if President Xi truly became an emperor, a real emperor, then China would actually get better.
