Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Requests DOJ and FBI Investigation into Ties Between "Code Pink" and "The People's Forum" with the CCP

Regarding the ties between "Code Pink" and "The People's Forum" with the CCP, the Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman has requested the Department of Justice and the FBI to conduct an investigation.

The organization's primary funder is Neville Roy Singham, whose wife is Jodie Evans, the founder of "Code Pink." "Code Pink" is a far-left anti-war organization known for its antisemitism and ties to China. According to a 2023 report by The New York Times, "Code Pink" is not only part of a "well-funded influence operation," but also works closely with the "Chinese government's media machine" to promote the Chinese Communist Party and has even defended China's detention of Uyghur Muslims.

Evidence suggests that "The People's Forum" and "Code Pink" are funded and influenced by Mr. Singham and the CCP government. Evidence also indicates that the political activities engaged in by "The People's Forum" and "Code Pink" directly promote the political and policy interests of the CCP government.

Given the connections between "The People's Forum" and "Code Pink" with the CCP government, Senator Grassley has called on the Department of Justice to disclose the work it has done in assessing whether "The People's Forum" and "Code Pink" should be registered under the Foreign Agents Registration Act. He also asked the Department of Justice whether it has issued any letters of inquiry or determination to the two organizations and their agents regarding their influence on policy, and if not, why.
