On November 3, the student posted a video stating that 119 days after the incident, the school stopped paying for rehabilitation costs, refusing to even cover a 14.5 yuan registration fee. The student also claimed that surveillance footage was initially reported as lost but later recovered, and that the two individuals involved have yet to face any substantive disciplinary action.

After posting a video, the student commented that college teachers came to find him. He stated that he refused private negotiations and demanded that all negotiation outcomes be made public.

On August 21, the police officially opened a criminal investigation into the case where a student at Hubei Normal University suffered minor injuries of the second degree inflicted by campus security personnel.

On July 7, a senior student at Hubei Normal University was restrained by security department personnel and injured. The injury was assessed as a secondary minor injury, and the student's finger is still unable to bend normally.
