On August 21, the police officially opened a criminal investigation into the case where a student at Hubei Normal University suffered minor injuries of the second degree inflicted by campus security personnel.
On July 7, a senior student at Hubei Normal University was restrained by security department personnel and injured. The injury was assessed as a secondary minor injury, and the student's finger is still unable to bend normally.
