Wang Junzheng of Tibet, Liang Yanshun of Anhui, and Liu Ning of Henan have been removed from their posts as provincial party secretaries, with their next appointments yet to be determined.
A Xinhua News Agency dispatch said Wang Junzheng no longer serves as Secretary of the Tibet Party Committee, without stating where he has gone; the material said there were messages from the Hong Kong side indicating that he left his post for age reasons.
Between September 22 and 23, Tibet Autonomous Region Party Secretary Wang Junzheng and Anhui Provincial Party Secretary Liang Yanshun successively stepped down or were removed from office.
Wang Junzheng and Liang Yanshun were stripped of their top local leadership posts within two days in a high-level personnel reshuffle led by Wen Jiabao.
