On November 2, media professional Zhao Huanyu revealed that players for the Jiangxi Ganxing women's basketball team have received almost no salary for two years, and even had to pay for their own travel expenses. The club also owes service fees to suppliers and meal expenses for away games.
According to blogger "I Love Women's Basketball," the Jiangxi Ganxing women's basketball team failed to pass the access requirements for the new season. The team has disbanded and notified players to find new clubs on their own. The team was founded in 2024 and competed for only two seasons.
Zhao Huanyu cited information from the Ganzhou Finance Bureau in May 2025, stating that the local government had arranged a budget of 8 million yuan for the annual assessment and funding rewards of the Jiangxi Ganxing Women's Basketball Club.
