Luca Maurice Strauf, a board member of the youth wing of the Alternative for Germany (AfD), posted a map on German Unity Day showing expanded German territory, including Alsace-Lorraine and parts of Austria, Poland, Hungary, and Italy, with the caption 'German unity means a Germany that unites all German territories.' Following the controversy, the member was forced to resign from his position.
