On October 8, a netizen revealed that the ceilings and walls of wards in the inpatient building at the Xiashan Campus of Guangdong Medical University Affiliated Hospital in Guangdong were blackened over large areas and covered with mildew. The hospital confirmed the mold problem, saying it had transferred patients to normal wards.
