One year after Enxu fled the Shengbo School, Wang Yuhang and Enxu said they had helped 13 students from special training schools get out, while hundreds of students remain trapped.
After public attention and police intervention in the investigation, Enxu was allowed to leave the school; 12 days later, the school was closed. The local education bureau said the reasons for its intervention included violations of business scope, overcharging training fees, and providing boarding services.
After Enxu lost contact, Wang Yuhang posted missing-person information on social media and reported to the police that Enxu was missing; more than ten days later, the police said that Enxu had not been unlawfully deprived of personal freedom.
Enxu said that three instructors, while he was heading to the countryside to sweep his grandmother's tomb, falsely claimed that his personal information was involved in fraud, forcibly put him in a vehicle, and sent him to Shengbo School 8 hours later.
