On November 6, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission announced that Yu Yanhong, former Party Secretary and Director of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law. She has turned herself in and is currently under investigation. Her predecessor, Yu Wenming, was sentenced to 15 years in prison this August for accepting bribes totaling over 63.44 million yuan.

The Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee has revoked the membership of Wang Tongzhou and Yu Yanhong from the China Communications Construction Group.
