Red Star News Investigation Finds That Paying Visitors to FAST Can Bring Electronic Devices Into the Core Zone
An investigation by Red Star News on October 10 found that at the FAST (China Sky Eye) in Guizhou, ordinary visitors must check their phones and take a shuttle bus to tour the facility, while visitors who purchase the in-depth science popularization experience program are allowed to register to drive into the core zone themselves. Mr. Fu said that after paying 2,688 yuan to stay at the Hotel Beyond Light Years, he brought electronic devices inside to take photographs; the hotel's operator belongs to a wholly state-owned enterprise system under the National Astronomical Observatories.
