On August 28, 2026, the National Natural Science Foundation of China announced the handling of 31 cases of scientific misconduct, revoking the involved projects and recovering funds from individuals including Wang Ping of Tongji University, Chen Quan of Nankai University, Su Jiacan of Shanghai University, and Kuang Dongming of Sun Yat-sen University.
