Malaysian Police Raid Hotel Scam Den in Malacca, Arrest 14 Chinese Nationals
On October 20, Malaysian police raided four hotel rooms at a hotel in Raia, Malacca, arresting 14 Chinese nationals (11 men and 3 women) suspected of online investment fraud. The base had been operating since mid-September, luring Chinese citizens into fake investment projects under the guise of customer service. Police seized 28 mobile phones and 96 prepaid SIM cards at the scene.
