On October 16, a netizen in Jiangsu posted that their telecom SIM card, for which they had been paying fees normally, was flagged as a risky number and had its calling and internet services suspended by the anti-fraud risk-control system, because they were in the habit of not answering calls from strangers. As a result, they could not pay for ride-hailing trips, and a large number of netizens in the comments section shared similar experiences.
