Shen Boyang Cannot Possibly Be Elected! Taiwan Affairs Office Breaks Down and Snaps Back: Taipei Belongs to the Chinese People, Are Taiwanese Artists Banned from Standing with Boyang? Otherwise Assets on the Mainland Will Be Frozen? Shanghai-Taipei Forum Cancelled
This video discusses the Taiwan Affairs Office's response regarding accusations that Democratic Progressive Party Taipei mayoral candidate Puma Shen and his father were involved in trade sanctions, analyzes the political considerations behind it, reactions to the stances of Taiwanese entertainers (such as Kevin Tsai and Nicky Wu), and compares the social welfare and economic status of both sides of the strait.

After finally waiting for almost two weeks, the official Taiwan Affairs Office of the Chinese Communist Party finally made an official response on Wednesday regarding the news about Puma Shen and Kevin Tsai. It was basically no different from what we guessed last week—regular viewers probably remember—and they placed the focus on Puma Shen's father, also referred to by some as the red bear, red money father, or red father. Let's take everyone through a point-by-point review and analysis of this press conference response from the Taiwan Affairs Office, examining whether it helps Puma Shen's campaign or blows him up, causing moderate voters to drift away.
Taiwanese entertainer Kevin Tsai appeared at the campaign headquarters establishment rally of Democratic Progressive Party Taipei mayoral candidate Puma Shen. What is your comment on this, thank you. Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory, and the actions of die-hard Taiwan independence element Puma Shen are known to all. We always respect and guarantee the legitimate freedom of speech and expression of our Taiwan compatriots, but on issues of right and wrong, there is no room for ambiguity. No one can earn development dividends from the mainland on the one hand while colluding and entangling with Taiwan independence separatist forces on the other, acting as a two-faced person. Although the front part was the usual cliché about Taiwan being whose and yours, mine, and his, right? It's very boring, I know, but one thing we predicted accurately: did you notice that he didn't mention the three words 'Kevin Tsai' throughout the entire text? It was the reporter who did, and he only pointed out the behavior.
As we previewed last time, last week coincided with the CCP's seven-day bandit celebration holiday, so many government agencies, including the Taiwan Affairs Office, were on vacation and did not hold such a press conference statement. However, they were secretly observing whether Kevin Tsai or more Taiwanese entertainers would attend the establishment rally of Chiang Wan-an's campaign headquarters at the end of the month. If they had started cursing too fiercely or directly denounced Kevin Tsai multiple times as a related Taiwan independence element or hitman the way they named Puma Shen, what if Kevin Tsai took others to attend as well? Wouldn't you look even more foolish, and wouldn't you end up helping the Democratic Progressive Party campaign? But if you are a regular viewer, you will find that the tone used by Taiwan Affairs Office spokesperson Chen Binhua is the same as the tone of Junzhengping Studio, one of the self-media brands under the Chinese Communist Party's People's Liberation Army last week. So, smart folks, have you noticed? This is the meaning of Xi Jinping. Xi Jinping probably, well, seemed to have been persuaded by his aides. In short, they persuaded Xi Jinping to use a smaller-scale official alt-account to release the rhetoric, and then the Taiwan Affairs Office officially took over this rhetoric from Xi Jinping and the military during this week's press conference.
For example, right now I am very angry and I definitely need to vent. I want to punch my pillow, punch a sandbag, or grab a steel mug to smash around blindly. Then the person next to you reminds you not to be impulsive, don't be impulsive: the direction you are about to smash has a newly bought television screen in front, a newly renovated wall behind, the ceiling light was just replaced, and that ceiling fan might fall down. But since you won't smash with this action, what should you do? You dare to grab the paper cup on the table, and you take that paper cup and throw it toward the television. You still want to vent, and the harm will be relatively small, right? Now let us continue to look at more analysis.
I would like to ask the spokesperson, does this mean that the mainland's promised respect for Taiwan's social system and lifestyle will turn into an empty promise that cannot be implemented when encountering political red lines? Because this is not a unilateral statement by the pan-Green camp, but includes non-pan-Green figures like Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an. When there is a serious conflict between the positions of the two sides of the strait, I would like to ask the spokesperson whether we can find a way to make both sides willing to understand each other's positions. The mainland and Taiwan belong to one China. We respect the social system and lifestyle chosen by our Taiwan compatriots, and Taiwan compatriots should also respect the development path chosen by mainland compatriots, respect the mainland's current judicial system, and it should not become a tool to incite cross-strait confrontation and distort national identity. Getting along as a family, as long as people talk things out properly, there are no contradictions and differences that cannot be resolved, and actively participate in the design of the political and social systems after reunification.
Look, before I refute him, before such bullshit, I would like to ask: whether this statement made by the government of the Republic of China at that time toward you, the Chinese Communist Party in Yan'an, and the Communists who fled the Long March, makes any sense. Your refusal to accept the democratic system does not mean you can engage in socialism, splitting the Republic of China because of a system, engaging in Marxism-Leninism and Soviet republics. Alright, okay, did you notice the reporter mentioned that Chiang Wan-an also disagreed with condemning Tsai Kang-yong, right? And that we must respect Taiwan's existing system? Just now I listened without understanding; giving an irrelevant answer, asking about A and answering about B. Yes, we respect you; you want to continue practicing totalitarianism, that's your business, but don't bring it to our Taiwan, right? And then what else did he say? Different social systems are not a reason for division. Didn't you already split the Republic of China? Then comes what he really wanted to say: discussing a new lifestyle system together after reunification, and actively participating. What does this mean? He is threatening us! He says if you don't discuss it now, you won't have a chance to discuss it later. So hurry up and discuss it now; when you are ruled and united by us, when you become a part of our five-star red flag, what kind of new system do you actually want to have? That means he actually doesn't want our existing Republic of China system in Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu; he wants to change it. So this kind of seriously disordered and split logical phenomenon—saying one second that I respect your existing system, and the next second saying let's talk right now, after you are united by me, after you marry me and I marry you, what will our new lifestyle system look like? If you respect me, then there's no need to discuss it, right? And the current system is the Republic of China in Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu, which is electing a president and electing county magistrates and mayors. Then he says again that we must respect your system, but the problem is that so many citizens of the CCP state are now strongly opposing the payment of compulsory social security, including part-time personnel—that is, what you call the flexible employment population, which in disguised terms is also the flexibly unemployed population. And this withholding ratio, you see, if you are a flexibly semi-unemployed and semi-employed person, you might even have to pay out of your own pocket to the CCP government to make up for your pension funds that are running out, just to support that group of CCP party, government, and military officials who currently account for 36% and take away this money, including you, Chen Binhua, and your parents. Even people like you who live under the red flag cannot be taken care of, and you don't respect them either. As you said, if we are truly ruled by you, we will end up just like these people. Right now, internet figures like 'Guanzhang' can still conditionally talk nonsense and bullshit over there because they still have value, and they haven't officially taken a CCP ID card like Lee Tung-hsien.
Let's continue to look at more analysis, because what follows is of paramount importance regarding Shen Po-yang's father. During the National Day holiday on October 1, famous Taiwanese artist Nicky Wu expressed his blessings to the motherland in Tiananmen Square and was consequently canceled from a public event on the island. What comments do you have on this? Thank you. Taiwan is a part of China. The Democratic Progressive Party authorities have repeatedly threatened and intimidated Taiwanese artists and engaged in a massive green terror. You know, when Nicky Wu returned to Taiwan, he was merely boycotted by a section of the public. Chen Binhua, you shameless wretch, acting as an accomplice to evil, you will inevitably be nailed to the pillar of national shame.
Next is the most critical segment. While the die-hard Taiwan independence element Enoch Wu (Shen Boyang) clamors for 'resisting China to protect Taiwan,' he is simultaneously trying every possible way to help his father evade mainland sanctions and make money from the mainland. In June 2025, Zhaoyi Co., Ltd., headed by his father Shen Tucheng, was subjected to sanctions. Investigations revealed that to evade these sanctions, Shen Tucheng continued to conduct trade and business cooperation with relevant mainland enterprises under the name of another company, VWAY, profiting from it.
There are a few things we need to clarify. I have looked it up online; the Shen family has always been international traders. For manufacturers or corporate clients in various countries, if they want to specify what kind of goods they want and from which country, that is determined by the requirements of the counterpart enterprises or customers. They act as an intermediary for import and export, handling such trade, and then selling to Ecuador or South America. They are just complying with what the customers specify. This is completely different from you, 'Guanzhang' (Holger Chen), going there to do business, saying 'The PLA is so amazing' during the 93 military parade, saying 'PLA, hurry up and come to Hualien,' then saying 'The Republic of China died the moment it retreated to Taiwan,' and then saying you want to 'slap Peng Liyuan's ass.' One moment you are a Taiwan independence element, publicly stating for years that you are a staunch supporter of Taiwan independence, and the next day you immediately transform into 'I am a citizen of the PRC,' waving the five-star flag, and by the way, saying you support the PLA in taking unfavorable actions against our head of state. May I ask, are these the same thing?
I believe that if the CCP and its related cohorts insist on bringing up the father's generation, then if his father were like Chiang Wan-an's father, Chiang Hsiao-yen, meeting Xi Jinping, shaking hands in person, meeting the director of the CCP Central Taiwan Affairs Office, and continuing to campaign for them without upholding the Republic of China, then Chiang Hsiao-yen, who claims to be a descendant of Chiang Kai-shek, has the absolute historical responsibility and obligation of the Chiang family to make it clear to Xi Jinping and Beijing that China is the Republic of China, and there is no room for ambiguity where you blur it into the non-existent country of the 'People's Republic of China,' right? According to the Constitution of the Republic of China and the stance of the Chiang family, the People's Republic of China is not a country either. You should make that clear to Xi Jinping's face: 'I am very happy to see the Chairman of the Mainland Area of the Republic of China; of course, our Republic of China has authorized him to temporarily serve as the Chairman of the Mainland, but everything must be subject to the orders of our supreme leader of the Republic of China, the President.' You need to say it clearly and explicitly; you are not just an ordinary legislator like Weng Hsiao-ling, you are a descendant of the Chiang family.
Let's continue watching. There is a group of anti-communist companies from the People's Republic of China. In your country, whether in Nanjing or Beijing, can they publicly state, 'I oppose the Chinese Communist Party, but can I continue to do business? However, I love China, is that okay?' So the point we have always cared about is, what is it today? For example, Peng Chia-chia is also doing live-streaming sales in the PRC, right? But he didn't wave the five-star flag, nor did he act like Huang An. So this is what the CCP dares not clarify. We oppose you always mixing business with politics; it is precisely the stance of you, the CCP, and your supporters, not us Taiwanese. If you want to go there to make money today, then go make money, but if you act like Huang An while making money, then we condemn it. What we condemn is: 'Go get your ID card.' That is what we condemn; this is different.
And furthermore, his father did not engage in similar relevant behavior. And I suggest that the CCP Central Committee should directly announce that from now on, all foreign trade enterprises cannot have overseas manufacturers, overseas companies, or intermediaries take over; everything must be handled by manufacturers within my People's Republic of China to fulfill your trade orders globally, including South America. Many times, these orders are not taken on the spot; they might have been taken before the sanctions. Local customers specified them as early as 2023, so can they say no? The customers specified it, so you just help with the coordination. So this has nothing to do with whether one is 'licking the communists' or not, I think that is another matter. And many times, it is American or Japanese factories, or local Taiwanese factories, setting up factories in the PRC, so may I ask, does this count as a PRC enterprise? The province is you, and the country is you; no wonder your fiscal revenue is in such a mess now, and you still have to force everyone to pay social security.
It is a very simple logic. Because after deducting costs, the orders from high-profit foreign investors and businesses are plummeting, precisely because things have become increasingly worse due to your political censorship and political risks. Therefore, in these years since the pandemic, many of these high-paying industrial foreign businesses have been gradually and incrementally shifting their supply chains. Of course, it is impossible to shift all at once; like withdrawal, you must do it slowly and steadily so that the trauma to the enterprise is minimized. That is why the fiscal revenue of local governments across China is decreasing and gradually becoming unable to meet expenditures. Because if you do not have the money from foreign businesses and investors renting land, how will you cover local public fiscal expenditures, as well as pensions and the incomes of the Zhao family officials? You can only go after the people, as well as Chinese private entrepreneurs and wealthy individuals who have fled overseas, to retroactively audit social security for 30 years, retroactively audit corporate taxes for 30 years, and demand a 20% tax on your overseas stocks and insurance policies.
So I very much welcome you to continue accelerating and continue spouting this wolf-warrior rhetoric. It is not a question of whether it is the DPP or not; your words affect foreign businesses that are still wavering about whether to leave. Why were the relevant enterprises of Chen Po-yang's father still able to complete several transactions within six months and successfully clear customs for export? Does this indicate that there might be some blind spots in regulation? This is the first question. Opposing the political suppression of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and whether to buy, whether one dares to publicly state that my factory in China supports the CCP, and the cup made in China—these are four completely different things, right? It just so happens that the 'Guanzhang' (Holger Chen) did all four of these things.
As for the second question, there are voices in Taiwan pointing out and questioning that because the timing of this revelation is quite sensitive, there is even discussion about whether it involves political interference in the election, potentially benefiting the Green camp in manipulating election issues. How does the Taiwan Affairs Office (TAO) respond? 'Acting in accordance with righteousness and law, never tolerating, never going soft. The ugly face of profit-seeking is entirely self-inflicted; it is an act of justice and does not involve the broad masses of Taiwan compatriots.' Asking A and answering with B, right? They don't understand the question. People are asking you: you clearly know that it might be the Chen family's other enterprise, or a nominee, anyway, why do you continue to let them earn the money you don't want them to earn? Is there a problem with your party's regulatory mechanism? Are there blind spots? And what are you doing? What are you saying? 'Those who are far away will be punished, it is self-inflicted, and they will surely be severely punished.' Chen Binhua, you better worry about yourself. Will you be ousted at the Fifth Plenary Session? Haven't a bunch of the Shanghai faction been ousted these past few days? My god, keep accelerating.
And Chen Binhua, I suggest you answer directly: what is the fastest way? You say, 'Our mainland is very democratic and free, and we welcome people with different political stances to come and do business just like in the United States. We will not force anyone to express their love for the Party and the country, just as our Chinese businessmen in the US can hold up the five-star flag and sing red songs, and also hope to turn Americans into Chinese. We in China also welcome people from any country to perform the same actions on our Divine Land.' And because China is currently experiencing economic deflation, we have to rely on massive price cuts to exchange price for volume, produce more beautiful financial reports, and brainwash the Little Pinks. But after deducting costs, the remaining profit is actually lower than in 2017. So we must deeply reflect and formally announce the replacement of Xi the Steamed Bun after the Fifth Plenary Session. It is that simple. If you dare to state that, I will support you, Chen Binhua.
It is that Chen Po-yang stated in May that the benefits of the Twin City Forum are extremely low, and things without benefits should not be held first. 'The stubborn Taiwan independence elements have long advocated for Taiwan independence and separatist claims, provoked cross-strait opposition and confrontation, and undermined peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait. They have no qualification to talk about cross-strait exchanges and cooperation.' Here is the point: the TAO does not dare to guarantee that Chiang Wan-an will win, so they are taking precautions by saying they will not talk about the Twin City Forum with the Taiwan independence element Chen Po-yang. Because you know that about a month after the election, the new mayor will take office. If it changes to Chen Po-yang, the Twin City Forum will be at the end of December. Actually, this interview was very long, and I cut out a lot of repetitive political bullshit, but there is a key point: he mentioned that the Twin City Forum has been held for 16 years, and then how this and how that.
Let me ask, over these past 16 years, where are your achievements in Shanghai? You turned Shanghai's medical insurance, which used to lead all provinces individually, into a nationwide one. You took all the tax revenues from the people of Shanghai to support poorer provinces, and then raised the minimum social security standard. Anyone earning less than 7,000 a month is assessed on the 7,000 benchmark. If you take on freelance work individually, it's even more miserable because you have to bear the employer's share of the contribution. The flexible employment population is actually in a semi-unemployed, semi-employed state—the kind where you occasionally work one day a month. But if during this period of unemployment you occasionally pick up a gig because you're waiting for interviews, and you make 2,000 yuan to maintain your most basic normal needs, I'm sorry, but you actually have to pay an extra 254 yuan out of your own pocket to the the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) government because you still have to bear the employer's portion. Working in China means at the bare minimum, absolutely the minimum, you have to pay 2,254 yuan every month. In Shanghai, you are already so poor that people are even setting up stalls at kindergarten gates, demanding that both sets of parents must pay into social security. If we expand our screening in the future, your future children and your relatives will affect your family's children in terms of future school admissions, taking civil service exams, and all kinds of situations. Even infants are now being asked to join social security. Although it's free for now, this is terrifying because once you have a record, if you ever let your coverage lapse, you will be fined. China today is already so poor that it can't even afford to pay pensions, forcing modern people to pay more. In contrast, not only did Taiwan issue 10,000 this year, but it will issue another 10,000 next year, followed by tax cut after tax cut, and on top of existing basic welfare, further increasing benefits again and again. Moreover, across various townships and cities, including indigenous townships and cities, welfare funds are being increased and increased again.
Shanghai should naturally be much more powerful than Taipei, given that it is dozens of times larger than Taipei. But precisely because of the rule of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), it has been constrained, preventing this fierce lion from performing at its normal level. Therefore, the true obstacle to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation spoken of by Xi Jinping is none other than the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). That's all for today's video.
