I have over ten years of experience circumventing the Great Firewall since high school. Here, I will briefly share some tips, some of which I learned from the blog of Programming Trace.
I. Preparation Before Circumventing the Great Firewall
- Hardware In 2023, most domestic Android phones have a built-in anti-fraud center or services that can monitor the phone. If you use a domestic Android phone to circumvent the Great Firewall, the probability of being discovered is very high, and you may not even be able to install circumvention tools. Solution: Buy an iPhone or a Google Pixel.
If you use a Windows PC to circumvent the Great Firewall, be sure to ensure that there is no domestic security software (such as 360, Kingsoft Antivirus, etc.) on your system, and no Tencent WeChat or Tencent QQ. In fact, you should try to avoid using domestic software as much as possible.
If you are a petitioner, social activist, or politically sensitive person, it is recommended to use a Google Pixel phone with a Tensor processor (rumored to be currently uncrackable by relevant departments for forensic purposes, unconfirmed), or a freshly installed Windows PC, and do not install any domestic applications on either your phone or PC.
If you use an iPhone and are at risk of having your phone inspected, you can use Xlocker or AAlocker to hide relevant APPs.
