미국의 첫 F-16V 전투기 물량이 대만에 도착했으며, 위다레이(俞大㵢) 주미 대만 대표는 이를 고무적인 일이라 평가했습니다. 또한 대만이 중국의 해공군 자산으로부터 지속적인 압박을 받고 있음을 언급하며 더 많은 무기 지원과 협력을 촉구했습니다.

First of all, we're encouraged that the delivery, the first deliveries of the F-16 Block 70s, the Vipers, have arrived finally to time the first two and you will see then a sequential delivery of more F-16s as they are being assembled and finished. So that's a very exciting and positive move. And as well as there's a real effort to accelerate the delivery of the equipments that we've bought from the United States prior. And there's a real effort from the U.S. government also.
