On September 23, an instructor at the Vocational Education Center in Wuqiang County, Hengshui, Hebei used an electric baton to punish students, and several students were burned by electric shocks. The homeroom teacher said they were aware of the incident but did not know the details. The school evaded questions about the origin of the electric baton and whether the instructor involved was still on campus, saying that the police had already intervened.
