Yantai Begins Construction of the World's First Supercritical CO2 Power Generation and Molten Salt Energy Storage Project

On September 16, the Huanneng Bajiao Power Plant in Yantai, Shandong Province started construction of the "RuiTanhao" project, with Phase I planned to build a 50 MW generator unit and a 100 MW/400 MWh molten salt energy storage system, expected to be put into operation in 2027.
