Liu Kai, a 20-year-old college student in Beijing, used circumvention software to follow anti-CCP influencers on YouTube and downloaded videos to share with classmates. He was criminally detained by the Haidian Branch of the Beijing Public Security Bureau on suspicion of inciting subversion of state power.
