Li Zicheng Captures Beijing and the Chongzhen Emperor Hangs Himself on Coal Hill
On March 19 of the 17th year of the Chongzhen reign, Li Zicheng led the Dashun army to capture Beijing. The Chongzhen Emperor hanged himself on Coal Hill, marking the end of the Ming Dynasty's rule in Beijing.
