On October 22, a netizen posted a video showing the 6th Primary School Young Teachers Chinese Teaching Demonstration and Observation Event held at the gymnasium in Zhongwei City, Ningxia. Primary school students sat neatly in the center of the venue for the observing teachers to watch. Comments in the bullet screen criticized the rampant formalism, with one teacher saying they had not held regular classes for nearly a month in order to put on a public lesson.
