On the morning of September 16, a landslide occurred at Dingziba in Shidaguan Village, Diexi Town, Mao County, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province, blocking traffic on the K2029+200 segment of National Highway 213. The Mao County Emergency Management Bureau said that because of early warning and control, no casualties occurred.

Around 17:00 on September 8 Beijing time, a netizen posted a video stating that a sudden landslide occurred in Maoxian County, Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with dust billowing at the scene and blocking the sky. No casualties have been reported yet. #RebelCollege
