On September 30, the Communist Youth League of Shangsi County, Guangxi, published a cybersecurity awareness article on its WeChat official account, listing YouTube, Chrome, Facebook, Twitter and Google services on a strictly prohibited download list, banning game accelerators and international versions of online games, claiming that using circumvention software to browse any content is a violation of law and discipline, and demanding that people check their VPN settings, browser playback history, and whether they have registered accounts on overseas social media platforms.
