Honeyfrost deletes National Day promo image and apologizes after Japanese samurai slashing a person is accused of insulting China
On October 1, the Minecraft add-on team Honeyfrost posted a promotional image for the RLCraft mod on a domestic platform. The image showed a Japanese samurai wielding a weapon and cutting down a bloodied character. Falling on the National Day holiday, it drew dissatisfaction from some players who demanded refunds. The official account subsequently deleted the post and apologized, saying the image was produced by an outsourced party due to a review oversight, and that a multi-layer review mechanism would be established, with special reviews of promotional materials for major holidays.
