On October 4, former Jiangsu women's football player and football blogger Chen Yun posted a video on Douyin, claiming that she had a dispute with staff over luggage during the Asian Games in Japan. Wearing a jersey with the Chinese flag, she insulted the Japanese as "little days" (a derogatory term) and "pure fucking idiots," claiming she was just "speaking a bit of national essence" (profanity). The event's official website had clearly stated in its guidelines that large luggage was restricted and there were no storage facilities on-site.
