From July 11 to July 20, the PLA Daily has not published the phrase 'Chairman Responsibility System of the Central Military Commission' for ten consecutive days.

In a report, the PLA Daily named the so-called "competition specialist" brigade from the 72nd Group Army—where He Weidong made his career—as having disappeared, and published a commentary severely criticizing deviations in political achievements and the bubble of new-quality combat capabilities.

On September 23, the PLA Daily published an editorial accusing Zhang Youxia and Liu Zhenli of abandoning their original aspirations and engaging in clique-forming, which severely endangered the Party's absolute leadership over the military, stating that investigating the two is a major victory for military anti-corruption.

The CCP's military newspaper reported on June 24 that from April 8 to June 16, the first training class for senior military cadres of the whole army was held at the National Defense University, where senior generals underwent closed-door rectification and assessment.

The PLA Daily prominently featured photos of live-fire shooting training by a brigade of the 77th Group Army—a unit affiliated with Zhang Youxia's faction—on its front page, sending a strong signal regarding the political winds of military power.

In 2025, the military newspaper continuously published eight commentary articles, involving expressions such as "enfeoffing wives and promoting sons," "loyalty to an individual," and "running a family dynasty."
