Russia Halts Sales of Some JAC, Dongfeng, Foton and XCMG Models
On October 12, the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Russian Federation announced that, because braking systems, seat belt anchorage points, cab protection and other features fail to meet safety requirements and could lead to traffic accidents and casualties, it was suspending sales in Russia of some trucks and special-purpose vehicles from JAC, Dongfeng, Foton and XCMG, and demanded that recall and rectification plans be drawn up.
