Philippine Defense Secretary Says the Philippines Will Not Be Able to Stay Neutral in a Taiwan Strait Conflict
In a media interview, Philippine Defense Secretary Gilberto stated explicitly that if a conflict breaks out in the Taiwan Strait, the Philippines will be unable to remain neutral, and noted that such a conflict would pose a major threat to Philippine citizens and to the security of the Bashi Channel.
