On April 17, 2025, Chuck Grassley, Chairman of the US Senate Judiciary Committee, sent letters to the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, demanding an investigation into whether the left-wing groups "Code Pink" and "People's Forum" were suspected of violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act and receiving funding from the Chinese Communist Party.
