Employees of the 12345 government service hotline in Bazhong, Sichuan, have had their wages withheld. Netizens reported that their July and August salaries have been long overdue, with monthly pay of only just over 2,000 yuan, drawing attention.

On October 8, the Bazhong Business Environment and Data Bureau responded that the claim of "frequent wage delays" is untrue, and that the delay was actually caused by late settlement at China Telecom's Bazhong branch. August wages were paid in full by the end of September, and July wages are promised to be paid in mid-October.
