Someone tracked the projection with a light and shone a powerful flashlight into members' faces, leading to a standoff. On June 15, 2026, the overseas civic protest group Guangfu zhi Lu projected protest images such as "I will not shoot the people" onto the outer wall directly outside the main gate of the Chinese embassy in Washington, where they were blocked by embassy security personnel holding umbrellas.
