Four departments release results of diaper investigation: no formamide detected, original testing body found to have falsified data
On October 15, 115 days after the joint investigation team of four departments including the State Administration for Market Regulation was established, a report was issued stating that formamide was not detected in 368 batches of infant diapers from 180 brands sampled, nor in 210 blood samples stored by the Shandong Provincial Public Health Clinical Center. It was concluded that the center's earlier testing had involved such problems as selectively choosing data points and deleting raw data. The Shandong Provincial Health Commission has taken action against the relevant medical institutions and personnel, but did not disclose the specific targets or measures.
