On July 12, 2026, anti-trafficking volunteer Shangguan Zhengyi published a post reporting that a cement sales point in Shilin Town, Dengzhou City, Henan had illegally forced an unidentified disabled man to carry cement and do hard labor for more than ten years, and called on local authorities to investigate and rescue him.

Then-Zhejiang Provincial Party Secretary Xi Jinping personally inscribed a message for all the elders and fellow villagers of Dengzhou Xincun in Henan, confirming their ancestral home as Dengzhou, Henan.
