On September 18, the District Court of Zurich convicted a Chinese international student of multiple counts of attempted murder, sentencing him to 15 years in prison. The court ruled that he had full criminal responsibility, and investigations showed he had systematically planned the attack prior to the incident, carrying it out on the day after watching nationalist videos and posting extreme content.

On October 1, a knife attack occurred at a daycare center in Zurich, Switzerland. A 23-year-old Chinese man attacked three children, leaving one of them seriously injured. The perpetrator was subsequently subdued by staff and bystanders and handed over to the police.
