On June 24, 2026, the National Security Department of the Hong Kong Police searched the independent bookstore "Hunter Bookstore" in Sham Shui Po on suspicion of offences under the Safeguarding National Security Ordinance, including incitement, and money laundering, and arrested its person in charge, former district councillor Wong Man-huen, and others.
