According to information from insiders cited by the Twitter account @__Inty__, the Democratic Republic of the Congo government carried out a crackdown on illegal mining in the country's Copperbelt this week, during which about 300 Chinese citizens were detained. The relevant authorities have not yet released the specific identities of those arrested or the follow-up measures to be taken.

After the incident, the police received a report and launched a search, capturing 21 illegal mining personnel and finding 7 bodies inside the mine shaft. A preliminary investigation shows that the deceased drowned after rainfall caused the mine shaft to flood.
