Jiaxing Netizen Posts Accusation That Hengtong Chemical Fiber Deducted Wages Over Work Injury
On October 20, a netizen in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, posted an accusation that Zhejiang Hengtong Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. unlawfully deducted wages when handling their work injury case. On October 5, they were struck on the head by an iron rod being dumped; the company determined they had operated in violation of rules and deducted 800 yuan. The employee said the iron rod was not secured and posed a hazard, and that they were transferred to another post without receiving training; they have resigned after being obstructed for insisting on filing a work injury report.
